Update: COVID-19 Information and Precautions

We know these are challenging times for you and your loved ones. Like you, our utmost concern is for the health and well-being of each of our patients and to ensure our staff is healthy and able to continue to care for patients. With that being said, we continue to take all necessary cautionary measures and are strictly adhering and implementing all CDC recommendations and guidelines. We continue to also work with local and state agencies as we fight Covid19. During this time we also recognize how important it is to keep the lines of communication open to give you peace of mind while we continue to meet the care needs of your loved ones while at our facility. As such, the facility will be providing updates of new developments as they take place on this page to keep you updated.


June 9, 2020:

Recently, University Park conducted a facility-wide testing of its residents and employees. As of today, 30 residents have tested positive for Covid19. Meanwhile, 10 employees have tested positive for Covid19. Currently, the facility does not have 3 or more individuals exhibiting any respiratory issue related to Covid19. The facility works closely with both the Public Health and California Department of Public Health. The collaboration includes frequent visits by CDPH to ensure all infection control and safety measures are implemented. All protocols recommended by CDC, federal, state, and local recommendations are being complied with by the facility. The well-being of our residents and staff is our utmost priority.


June 2, 2020:

Know that we continue to monitor all staff members before and after each shift for signs and symptoms of COVID-19, including taking each person’s temperature. We are adhering to the infection control guidelines as outlined by public health. Please return to this webpage to get updates as they come in. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible with our community.


May 30, 2020:

University Park Healthcare Center has a total of 7 confirmed residents and 4 confirmed staff that have tested positive for COVID-19.


May 27, 2020:

University Park Healthcare Center has a total of 4 confirmed staff and 4 residents that have tested positive for COVID-19.


May 22, 2020:

University Park Healthcare Center had our first staff member test positive for COVID today.
